How to do Savasana ?
1. Lie on your back and keep a gap of one and a half feet between the two legs. Keep both hands at a distance of 6 inches from the body. The direction of the palm will be upwards. To support the head, you can repeat the towel or any cloth and keep it under the head. During this, keep in mind that the head is straight.
2. Leave all the body parts loose. Close your eyes
softly. Do not move or move any limb while performing the savasana. You put
your awareness (meditation) towards the breath and try to make it as much as
possible. Take deep breaths and while exhaling, feel that the whole body is
becoming relaxed. All body parts have become calm.
3. Keep breathing alert for a while, keep your eyes
closed and try to see the light of a flame in the middle of the ground (at the
center of the eyebrows).
4. If a thought comes to mind, look at it with a witness,
do not join it, go and see it and let it go. In a few moments you will also
become mentally calm and relaxed.
5. Counting count
from 10 to 1 while keeping eyes closed. For example, "I am breathing 10, I
am breathing 10, I am breathing 1, I am breathing 1". In this way, count
to zero, mind to mind.
What are the savasana benefits?
If savasana is done with full alertness then stress is
relieved, high blood pressure is normal, insomnia can be overcome.
In the state of breathing, our mind remains attached to
the body, so that no external thoughts are produced in the body. For this
reason our mind is in a completely comfortable state, then the body
automatically feels peace.
The internal organs are relieved of all stress, so that
blood circulation begins to flow smoothly.
