International Yoga Day 2020 Yoga is the oldest science of Indian culture.
By which humans have opened the doors of spiritual and physical development.
The word yoga is related to the meditation process in Hinduism, Jainism and
Buddhism. The description of when Yoga was born is found in the scriptures of
the Vedas and Jainism. Yoga literally means joining or meeting, but it is an
elaborate discipline because all its actions and actions make a person
physically and spiritually yogi. Yoga was limited to South Asian countries for
a time, but today the whole world community has accepted it. Let's know some

Why is the International Yoga Day celebrated?
Indian Ambassador Ashok Mukherjee proposed on behalf of
India to celebrate the Internationa Yoga Day in the UN. 175 countries accepted the
proposal in the UN General Assembly. With this, any proposal in the UN Assembly
became the record for receiving such heavy support. This was the first time
that any resolution passed in the United Nations Assembly within 90 days i.e.
on June 11, 2014, and it was approved to celebrate International Day of Yoga on
June 21 every year.
Is today National Yoga Day?
International Yoga Day is celebrated on 21 June. The
reason behind celebrating International Yoga Day on 21 June is the summer
solstice. Actually 21 June is the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere. Which
we also know as Summer Solstice. After the summer solstice in the Indian
culture, the sun goes south. It is said that this day is in the yoga of
attaining spiritual attainments. It is said that seven disciples of God were
also given initiation of Yoga during this summer transition, hence some people
celebrate this day as Shiva incarnation.
How many countries celebrated the first International
Day of Yoga?
On June 21, International Yoga Day 2020 will be celebrated
simultaneously in 172 countries around the world. It also includes all major
Muslim countries. All the major events on Yoga Day abroad will be organized in
the Indian embassies. Apart from this, many programs are also being organized
with the help of other organizations. The date of June 21 has been announced by
the United Nations for the program every year, but to ensure maximum
participation of people abroad, it has been asked to organize it anytime
between June 15 and June 23. Special preparations have also been made for the
International Yoga Day at the United Nations. The main event on behalf of the
United Nations will be held at its headquarters, while its other affiliates
have prepared their own programs to celebrate Yoga Day.
