What do you mean by Vrksasana or tree pose  ?


Vrikshasana means posture similar to tree. While doing this asana, human body looks like a tree, that is why this asana is called Vrksasana. This asana is practiced by standing.

Like Nataraja posture, this asana is very beneficial for physical balance. While Vrksasana benefits various parts of our body, this posture also keeps away mental tension. This means to say that if you want to maintain mental balance, then do tree administration. There are many benefits of tree administration if it is done regularly.
It has been considered a very simple yoga. And for yoga pose for beginners, this is also important yoga.

According to Yogacharyas, doing Vrksasana in the morning is even more beneficial. By doing this asana, the unformed body becomes shapely. Those people who have problems with knee pain, those people must do it easy. By doing this asana, your knee pain will stop completely. Method of tree pose or Vrksasana

While doing this asana, one leg should bend, keeping the other leg firmly on the ground. Standing on one leg, hands have to be brought above the head. While doing this asana, you should feel that your foot is a root on which the body like a tree rests. Now focus your attention on the front. Breathe effortlessly. How to do tree pose or Vrksasana



  • Stand up straight.

  • Place the right foot firmly on the ground.

  • Now raise the left leg slowly and place it above the knees of the right leg.

  • Now put both hands in the prayer posture from your chest.

  • To maintain balance, move both your hands above the head.

  • Now keep the head straight and center your eyes in the hairline.

  • Now stand for 1-2 minutes in this state.

  • Repeat this pose 2-5 times with both feet.
